How plan limits are countedPricing questions, answered
An AI prompt is a prompt you track across AI assistants; it counts while it exists, like a tracked keyword. A research lookup is any on-demand question, such as keyword research, SERP results, Google Trends, or a domain or backlink lookup. Cached answers are free, and scheduled rank, prompt, local, and backlink checks never use lookups.
You're never charged for overages. At a limit, Surnex asks you to upgrade instead of running the action. Monthly allowances reset on the 1st (UTC), and you can free keyword, prompt, or location slots by removing ones you no longer need. Scheduled checks keep running.
Yes. Admins can change plans anytime in Settings → Billing. Changes take effect straight away and are prorated on your next invoice. A downgrade is refused if you hold more keywords, AI prompts, or local locations than the new plan allows, so remove the extra first.
Yes. Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of the Growth plan, no card required. Choosing a plan during the trial ends it and starts billing that day.
Agency and Scale include white-label reports and a custom report domain, so clients see your brand. Starter and Growth don't include white-label reports.
Yes. Every plan includes the Surnex REST API and the MCP server at https://api.surnex.io/mcp, so AI agents can work with your data. API and MCP usage counts toward the same plan limits as the dashboard.
Yes. Cancel from the billing portal in Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and cancelling doesn't delete your data.
